About Me

My week is divided up into musician/engineer/ tutor/youth worker slices in one big exciting cake. I offer private guitar lessons (info here) and also run YMCA Music Room - an after-school youth project in Wimbledon enabling young people to have a go on an instrument and run gigs etc. I'm also involved in quite a few musical ventures - see below...

Miri

I'm on guitar duties in London-based singer songwriter Miri's live band, playing a series of small gigs and guest slots over the next few months to promote her debut album 'Canvas'. "The idea behind Canvas is about starting afresh, getting to a point where you begin to rediscover yourself and life in order to create a more fulfilling environment and life experience," says Miri. "The process for me includes a feeling of loss and grief, which, althought painful, seems to be required in order to progress personally which can then lead to a restoration of hope and possibility."

Adam Wedd & The Independents

Adam and his excellently punned Independents are gearing up to release debut EP 'Nursery Rhymes for Adults' with a series of full band headline shows in some of London's finer venues. Wisdom beyond his years is displayed under the cover of childish optimism, with songs that display a discerning understanding of the human condition. As a fully fledged independent, I play guitar in Adam's band as well as helping produce & mix the new EP. I also live with him.

Alba Nova

In Alba Nova's world, the mundane is transformed into something endlessly romantic, decadent and intricate, where epic stories of glamour and betrayal are played out in dialogues between flirting co-vocalists and smothered in layers of reverberating guitars and violin. Their first EP titled The Beautiful Way To Fall is to be the first to be released on the new independent label Comfort Records. I play guitar and piano for Alba Nova, as well as co-writing many of the tracks. I have also produced and mixed most of the songs.
